Priorities are connected to the direction that is set in a Strategic Plan.  They also inform where money is allocated and what programs and opportunities are elevated to support student success.

Academic Excellence:  I value opportunities for students to be challenged while ensuring they are supported. To foster intrinsic motivation to learn and be curious.  I will advocate for critical thinking, collaboration, and communication skills so students can innovate and enter the world with confidence.

Digital Literacy:  I support teaching healthy habits in a digital world that keep students safe and cultivate responsible digital citizens.  I think it’s important to learn skills to find credible sources and discern online deception while staying grounded in our human experience.  I will advocate for the creation of clear parameters for students to utilize AI with confidence and provide students with the knowledge and skills to adapt to evolving digital tools.

Climate Change Education: I will advocate to equip students with the knowledge, understanding and skills to lead and innovate solutions to changes in our environment.  I support grade appropriate experiences that students connect with and foster understanding of our interconnectedness.

Outdoor Education: I believe we can build on existing resources, experiences and enthusiasm in our community and District.  I embrace the social, emotional and physical health benefits of place-based learning for both students and staff in our beautiful community.
